Specification for acceptance of flange fittings
I, ScopeThis specification specifies the test methods and the determination of test results for carbon steel, stainless steel flanges and carbon steel, stainless steel butt welding, socket and threaded fittings (including elbows, reducing joints, tees, etc.).
II, Reference standards
ASME B16.9; ASME B16.11; ASME B16.5; MSS SP-97; MSS SP-83;
III,surface quality inspection
1. The surface of pipe fittings shall not have cracks, overburning and other appearance defects (such as scars, etc.) that damage the strength.
The inside and outside surfaces should be smooth without corrosion pitting, oxide skin and mechanical damage.
The sealing surface of the flange shall be smooth, free of radial grooves, and free of pores, cracks, burrs or other defects that reduce strength and connection reliability.
2. The anti-rust paint on the surface of carbon steel pipe fittings should be smooth and flat, without falling off.
3. The finished pipe fittings shall be marked with spray paint or print in a prominent position, and the contents and methods of the marks shall meet the requirements of the contract.
IV, size inspection
Dimensional inspection shall be carried out in accordance with relevant standards and the items inspected include:
1. Caliber, wall thickness, Angle and height of elbow;
2, tee caliber, wall thickness, length, height;
3, the diameter, wall thickness and height of the reducer joint;
4. Caliber of socket threaded pipe fitting;
5. Inner diameter, outer diameter and thickness of flange;
V, Inspection of packaging
Packing in wooden cases or wooden supports, the products in wooden cases should be firmly fixed to ensure that the products will not be damaged by collision during long-distance transportation; Wooden pallet packaging products should also be securely secured with steel tape to ensure that long distance transport will not be due to road turbulence loose.
